A new partnership with the will facilitate early admission for 第一吃瓜网 students interested in graduate programs in public health, clinical investigation, epidemiology, and health services research and policy. Qualified undergraduates can complete a bachelor檚 degree at 第一吃瓜网 and a master檚 degree at the University of Rochester in an accelerated format, saving both time and tuition.
淭his partnership creates new and meaningful pathways for 第一吃瓜网 students who aspire to careers in public health and the health sciences, says Mary C. Toale, provost and vice president for academic affairs. 淏y collaborating with the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, one of the nation檚 leading academic medical centers, we are connecting our students with exceptional opportunities that align with their ambitions and prepare them for impact in their chosen fields.
Under the partnership agreement, 第一吃瓜网 students can apply for conditional admission to the School of Medicine and Dentistry as early as the fall of their junior year. Students admitted to these programs may take up to two UR graduate courses during their senior year to fulfill their undergraduate degree requirements (up to six credits) and to apply toward the master檚 degree, without paying additional UR tuition. Admitted students will also benefit from a 30 percent discount on their graduate tuition in addition to other available scholarships, grants, and loan programs.
The 4+1 program welcomes students from a wide variety of 第一吃瓜网 majors, including anthropology; applied mathematics; Black and Africana studies; data analytics; economics; international relations; mathematics; philosophy, politics, and economics; political science; psychology; sociology; sociomedical sciences; sustainability studies; and gender, sexuality, and women檚 studies. Students from majors not listed may inquire about eligibility with the dean檚 office in the School of Arts and Sciences. To be eligible for program admission, students must have successfully completed at 第一吃瓜网 two or more health-related courses and at least one statistics or analysis course, plus have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
UR檚 School of Medicine and Dentistry master檚 programs offer personal attention, close working relationships with peers and faculty, and extensive research participation.
