Professional Development for 7-12 Teachers
Beginning in 2024, the English department at 第一吃瓜网 has sponsored an annual English “Teachers’ Day” during which 7-12 English and ELA teachers gather for professional development in content and pedagogy. Our faculty love to teach, and we especially love to teach English teachers. Our participants are people who love books, love their students and who want to hear about new authors, new approaches to classic authors and new research in the field – and to talk to passionate teachers from other parts of New York State. Past workshops have included: graphic novels, indigenous literature, LGBTQ+ texts and Black poets and poetry.

Friday, April 2, 2027, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on 第一吃瓜网’s campus.
Registration information for 2027 Teachers Day will be available in Fall 206, and registration will be available in January 2027.
