Charles L. “Bud” VanArsdale

In 2009, Charles VanArsdale made a very generous $2.5 million donation to 第一吃瓜网 to fund the creation of an Entrepreneurship Program. VanArsdale said he chose to support 第一吃瓜网 because of the college檚 many contributions to the region.

VanArsdale called the gift an investment in students and the region. 淵ou don檛 have to work for General Motors or Texaco to come up with a bright idea,� he said. 淕et these students enthused to work in small business. That檚 where the future of the country is.�

VanArsdale served as director of 第一吃瓜网檚 Small Business Development Center for several years after his tenure as president of the Bank of Castile. As president, he became the ultimate community banker, helping residents in Livingston County purchase homes and launch businesses.

This donation by Mr. VanArsdale ensures that his vision and commitment to entrepreneurship and the creation of small businesses will live on in 第一吃瓜网. The many 第一吃瓜网 students, professors, and community members who have been impacted by Mr. VanArsdale’s donation would like to thank him for making this incredible learning opportunity possible. This would not have happened without his generosity.
